South Beach dating rule #571: courtship is best carried out in a restored Deco hotel.

With fried chicken.

And if it happens to come courtesy of a Michelin-starred chef at one of the sexiest spots in the city...

Behold Tudor House, your new spot for power breakfasts, pre-seduction comfort food and outdoor cocktails, now open at the Dream South Beach.

Contrary to the name, this Tudor House has nothing to do with Welsh aristocrats and everything to do with 1940s Miami. You’ll walk into the shiny chrome-chaired and terrazzo-floored space, and immediately be hit with a strong Rat Pack vibe—black-and-white photos, stingray leather banquettes the color of money (Deano’s favorite).

Start at the bar, which used to be the hotel’s check-in counter, then get comfortable on the polished aluminum chairs and settle in for a few dirty martinis. And if you’re looking for a breeze, go outdoors, where the patio is outfitted in teak benches and glass tables overlooking Collins Ave.

Geoffrey Zakarian, a New York chef you may recognize from the cooking competition show Chopped, is cooking here, so you’ll sup on things like Organic Buttermilk Fried Chicken with gingered slaw. And if you make it to breakfast, Lemon Ricotta Hotcakes.

Hotcakes are for closers.
