Summer’s here and you wouldn’t mind a little recreational dipping. Perks gets that, and we’ve got you covered... from waist to knee. With Onia’s classic line of swimsuits and board shorts—they’re trim, handsome and, for you, 30% off. Any more would be skinny dipping.
Things to do for June 16, 2011
Air Guitar, Ribs and Tiki Drinks
The weekend can’t lose.
Pretty Things and Picnic-y Bites
Last night’s win: epic. Also epic: Eastern Standard’s two hours of $5 small bites tonight (think grilled corn on the cob, BBQ pork sliders) while they launch Pretty Things’ American Darling brew. It’ll be on tap and in samples and they’ll be the only spot carrying it till next week.
In your bedroom, you’ve done it to Journey, Zeppelin, even NKOTBSB. So with the Air Guitar Regional Competition happening in Brighton on Friday, you’ll take those air guitar skills public. Winners go to Nationals and Nationals winners go to the finals in Finland. Naturally.
The only thing you love more than Boston Harbor: Otto Preminger pictures. So you may want to get down to the Harbor tomorrow at sunset for Movies by Moonlight, an outdoor film series launching with the 1944 Preminger-directed classic, Laura. Then next Friday: Field of Dreams.
Decompressing with Tiki Drinks
Think Tank’s new Tiki Mondays are getting set to bring you pupu platters and everything from Suffering Bastards (rum, orange curaçao, lime juice) to Queen’s Park Swizzles (rum, lime, cinnamon). It’s one of the best ways we can think of to de-Monday yourself.
Bourbon and BBQ at Tremont647
Then again, come Monday you may be feeling like ribs. In that case, head to Tremont647, where Jack Daniel’s BBQ Championship winner Andy Husbands will be serving up a four-course BBQ feast (including three kinds of ribs), all paired with bourbons. After last night, you deserve this.
