You have fond memories of partying at Studio 54 in a Travolta-esque jumpsuit. Okay, maybe not. But the House of Blues is celebrating the anniversary of the club in its Foundation Room on Saturday. Think: all-disco music, bell-bottoms and platform shoes. Good thing you’ve got a closetful of platform shoes.
There’s something about watching Japanese guys holding wooden logs and banging the bejesus out of drums in unison that warms the musical heart. On Saturday, you can catch just such a spectacle as the Japanese Kodo drummers percussion it up at Symphony Hall. The urge for sake may quickly follow.
