Resolutions: easy to make. Less easy to keep. So we’re setting you up with Fitbit, a wireless personal training device that tracks every calorie you burn, even the ones from lifting a martini glass. We’re also throwing in six gratis months of Premium Membership. Go ahead, have an extra martini.
Things to do for January 13, 2011
Button-Downs, Frittatas and the Blues
The weekend hasn’t even touched its gift cards yet.
Uncle Pete’s Goes 50% Off
If you haven’t noticed, we just got crushed in snow. So before you start yanking spring gear out from storage, you may want to hit Uncle Pete’s, where they’re taking 50% off fall/winter gear like Wolf vs Goat button-downs, outerwear by Fjällräven and Rag & Bone sweaters.
Uniform Goes 25% Off
While you’re at it, maybe stop by Uniform. They’re knocking 25% off all fall and winter gear, be it Life After Denim pants, Diesel denim or Penguin sweaters. As for some new sledding pants, your existing ones will have to do.
JP’s Newest Brunch Staple
Now that the first snowpocalypse of 2011 has descended upon us, going far for brunch is something worth avoiding if possible. So JPers rejoice: Canary Square starts brunch service this Saturday, which means all your Egg Salad Sliders, Banana Bourbon French Toast and Potato Frittatas are just a hangover away.
Getting the Blues with a Burger
We don’t want to upset you, but soon there will be no more football. Here to fill the void: the new Sunday blues night at the Beehive, featuring a house blues band and a brand-new burger menu. Go for a seat near the front and a Casbah Burger: feta, tzatziki sauce and pickles.
Church’s chef is making her TV debut on Food Network’s Chopped series on Tuesday. To celebrate, they’re asking you to eat their unlimited small bites (hummus, cheese boards, guacamole) and drink their $5 specials. They’ll also be passing hors d’oeuvres mirroring the “mystery basket” from the show. Dun dun dun.
