BRAND-NEW PERKS

Half Off Your Next Pair of Designer Jeans

This week, Perks is taking half off your next pair of cult selvage denim jeans, fresh from the laboratory: the Denim Design Lab. It’s modern-day jean science, with a dash of old-timey alchemy. A little jean alchemy goes a long way.

STOGIES

Your New Cigar Bar: Boston Harbor

Boats and smokes: a classic pairing. So you’ll be happy to know that boat-for-hire outfit Come Sail Away Now has turned their Tupelo Honey into a floating cigar bar, featuring a humidor, cigars and cutters courtesy of North End cigar emporium Stanza dei Sigari. There’s even an onboard stogie expert, although the paired whiskey should be brought by you.

Saturday
Sexy Fairies, Burlesque and You
BURLESQUE SHAKESPEARE

Sexy Fairies, Burlesque and You

Shakespeare in the Park is fine, but you’re more of a Shakespeare-characters-in-sexy-lingerie kind of theater fan. So we think you’ll appreciate this: at Royale on Saturday, the pasties-happy troupe behind The Donkey Show will reimagine Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream into a ’70s-style disco roller burlesque show. Which is strange, because we hear Shakespeare was more of a rollerblader.

Jul 31, 10pm, $20 at door, Royale, 279 Tremont St, 617-338-7699

New Snack Shack Opens on Georges

While you’re taming the sea in your yacht, it’s always good to know where the best land-based food shanties are. The newest one on Georges Island to keep an eye out for: the Summer Shack, a snack bar that’s now dishing out steamed clams, lobster rolls, chowder and steak burgers. Tom Hanks really could’ve used one of these in Castaway.

CINEMA PARADISO

Italian Film Not Named The Godfather

If your idea of classic Italian cinema involves only the names Coppola and Scorsese, then you should really stop writing those letters to Roger Ebert claiming to be a film expert. You might also want to check out BiNA Osteria, where you can catch a classic Italian movie every Monday at 8pm. Playing this Monday: Amici Miei, a dramedy that battled Jaws for the No. 1 film in Italy in 1975.

Mondays in August, 8pm, BiNA Osteria, 581 Washington St, 617-956-0888
