Things to do for February 25, 2010
Saigon Nachos, Team Conan and Beer for Lunch
The weekend is up for best supporting weekend.
Conan's Staffers Emerge
If you're wondering what Conan O'Brien's canned comedy team is up to lately, ask them yourself—this two-night stand-up stint is spearheaded by a former Tonight Show assistant producer, so you'll see a lot of the old gang on stage. And at the open bar. (They may need the gratis beer and wine even more than you do.)
Laurel Tavern Now Open for Lunch
To please the clamoring hordes, there was only one thing left for this lively Studio City haven of beer, burgers and roasted marrow bones to do—start serving at noon. Some hordes prefer to clamor in daylight.
A Stylist-Filled Party in Culver City
So there's this artist named Kimberly Brooks who painted the industry's top stylists (including Mad Men costumer Janie Bryant and reality star Rachel Zoe). And now she's exhibiting those paintings. And we're thinking if you show up to toast her on Saturday, you'll probably run into a few celebs and/or models.
One of Venice's most esteemed (and miniscule) beachside Italian restaurants has shuttered—but only for a few days, and only to basically double in size. The new incarnation debuts this Monday, offering the same menu but the exciting new ability to reserve tables.
