Things to do for October 22, 2009
This Weekend: Ferraris, Bikinis, $2 Brunch
The weekend is all out of love.
A collection of million-dollar Ferraris under one roof is pretty sexy. Throw in bikinis and you've got a party. Ferrari-Maserati of Ft. Lauderdale celebrates its opening tonight with free-flowing cocktails and a swimwear show by Inca. Midlife crisis not included.
You work hard and play hard, and sometimes it takes a toll on your insides. This three-day juice cleanse (yes, nothing but juice for three days) will set things straight with tasty concoctions like lemon-cayenne and pineapple-apple-mint. (Note: they also go great with vodka.)
New World Symphony Afterparty
While you appreciate the symphony, you're really more of an afterparty aficionado, so this post-performance soiree for the New World Symphony is more your speed. Held in the swanky lounge of the Marquis, there's an open bar and a performance by local band the Green Room.
Starting this Sunday, your Design District go-to is doling out brunch the only way it knows how—with creative small plates priced from $2 to $19, including wood-oven roasted duck eggs, homemade pop tarts and crispy pig ears. Sundays start with pig ears.
