Friday Night Brats, Drinking Games and Tequila Cocktails
The weekend is back and better then ever.
When we heard about two unlikely forces—a hot dog cart and Italian wine shop—throwing a Germany-centric party in Russian Hill, we were skeptical. Until we learned it's all-you-can-eat brats from Let's Be Frank and all-you-can-drink Rieslings from Biondivino. Consider it pre-Oktoberfest training.
With a 400-deep wine list at the ready, Ame's new drinking game might test your blind tasting skills…slightly. You'll get a flight of three anonymous wines and the names of three grapes. Match all three correctly, and your wine's on the house. Whatever happens, you can always get a rematch.
It's hard to believe that this mainstay is only two years old. Celebrate with bubbly followed by a three-course wine-pairing dinner, with dishes like guinea hen wrapped in applewood-smoked bacon. Then stop by the bar for your usual Spruce Goose (also known as your two-year habit).
