It’s no secret that Argentina bears some of the most delicious Malbec in the world. And this bottle with notes of blackberry, raspberry and violet is no exception. So you should be excited to hear that we have them by the half dozen. We presume you’re losing your mind somewhere out there.
Things to do for November 02, 2016
Beer and Breakfast Burritos from the Seven Stills Team
Then There’s the Matter of Bacon Burgers and a Dia de los Muertos Dance PartyBy Lauren Sloss
The weekend is polling well.
There Are Bacon Burgers Among Us
You recall Rickybobby, now-shuttered home of that bacon burger you love. Well, it’s back at Eat Americana (formerly Americana Grill) in the Richmond. Rickybobby’s chef teamed up with the neighborhood staple for a revamp and menu takeover that includes pulled-pork waffle fries and green chili mac and cheese. And, right, bacon burgers.
It’s a Dia de los Muertos Dance Party at the Great Northern
Dia de los Muertos: Important cultural tradition you appreciate.
The Great Northern: Excellent new club and event space you frequent.
Tonight’s Dia de los Muertos party at the Great Northern featuring Los Rakas and Bayonics: Happening.
Beer, Shandies and Breakfast Burritos from Team Seven Stills
Seven Stills, brewers of beer and makers of whiskey from said beer, are about to open a new taproom in the Outer Sunset. They’ll have all of their beers on tap, plus breakfast burritos and shandies made with Hard Frescos. None of which is even remotely objectionable.
Two Fine Additions to Your Wine Country Itinerary
Two new reasons to go to wine country this weekend:
1) Blue Note, a New York–based jazz club that’s now open in Napa. You sip things and listen to music there.
2) Werowocomoco, the new restaurant at Coppola’s Virginia Dare Winery. You eat bison burgers and mispronounce the name there.
Turntables are neat. And by that logic, you’ll be pleased to hear that this Sunday is the Bay Area Record Fair, which features over 30 local labels, used gems from Amoeba and Western Relics, plus other vinyl-inspired goodness. Nice to see you, holiday gift potential.
