Things to do for July 06, 2016
Hip-Hop Brunch. Margaritas. Yoga in Marlins Park.
Dog days of weekend.
Delicious Changes Are Afoot at Vagabond
If you were to stumble upon MiMo’s Vagabond, you’d think it’s the same as it’s always been. But it’s not. It’s not the same. Because starting today, it’s Vagabond Kitchen & Bar, and it’s where you get steakhouse-y things like roast beef carpaccio and cherry duck confit. Which makes it different.
How Michael’s Genuine Does Movie Night
This Friday, grab a date and head to Palm Court for a spread of Israeli-spiced popcorn, kefte sandwiches and kebabs from Michael’s Genuine. And maybe stick around since O Cinema will also be there with a screening of In Search of Israeli Cuisine under the stars. There’s a connection, you see.
And the Award for “Best Summer Pop-Up” Goes To...
Your thought process when hearing about Michael Mina’s new pop-up, Pizza & Burger:
“Bit on-the-nose there, Michael.”
“But, man, that guy gets it.”
“A dry-aged burger and a margarita sounds pretty damn good.”
“So does a lobster pizza.”
“I’d like to move on now.”
Found You a Hip-Hop Brunch
Station 5 will be approaching this Sunday’s brunch a bit differently. There’ll be the usual suspects like bottomless mimosas and pancake tacos, sure. But also some new surprise dishes. Then there’s the small matter of the all-’80s-and-’90s-hip-hop soundtrack. Which is just sort of... there.
Post-Baseball Yoga. Turns Out, That’s Happening.
After the Marlins play Cincinnati this Sunday, you’ll be given a Marlins yoga mat. Then you’ll walk onto the field. Then someone will play soothing music as you contort yourself into odd shapes for the next hour. Then you’ll carry on as if none of that actually happened in real life.
