Man’s best friend: coffee. Or dogs. Hard to choose. Anyway, you won’t need to at the Dog Cafe, a new Silver Lake place serving fair-trade coffee while you hang out petting rescue dogs and consider taking one home. Resistance is futile.
Someone just went and turned SAG’s former headquarters into a new restaurant and wine bar called the Guild. Come for dinner and find New Zealand lamb chops, bone marrow with beef tongue and a nice pinot. Presumably for less than what your agent takes.
The Arrive hotel just opened in Palm Springs with a courtyard pool, cabanas and a huge hot tub for you. There’s also a restaurant with breakfast cocktails and Hawaiian bread french toast. If only you had a reason to be in Palm Springs this weekend.
Saturday afternoon. You’re by the pool on the Ace’s roof, listening to disco from around the world. Dancers swirl around you, their spinning hems a blur of vintage fabric. You look around and find that you’re all wearing kaftans. So you begin dancing, too. And... scene.
