Things to do for March 30, 2016
Pool Days at Coppola, Tiki Drinks and Other Weekend Splendidness
The weekend put the lime in the coconut and drank it all up.
Not a Bad Date Play, This
We heard your date likes art galleries. Which is why you’ll want to get yourself to the Minnesota Street Project, a new warehouse filled with more than 10 of them. Oh, and Daniel Patterson is opening a restaurant there this fall. Great, because we also heard that art makes your date hungry.
Your Wine Country Pool Days Start Now
When we tell you that the pools are opening at Francis Ford Coppola Winery this Friday, and that there are still a scant few reservations available, we expect you to drop everything and start yelling things like “Nice” and “No way” and “I’m feeling sick.” That last one can probably wait until Monday, though.
Cala Opened a Little Tapas Joint for You
You remember Cala, that lovely restaurant from that big-deal Mexico City chef. And that great little taqueria she opened in the back of the restaurant during the week. Well, that little taqueria is a tapas joint now, with things like oysters, trout tostadas and sangria. So now it’s better.
Off the Grid’s Presidio Picnic Is Finally Back
Picnics are usually a good idea. Especially when they involve ceviche from Nopalito, poutine from the Whole Beast and a Taiwanese dessert called snow that’s like shaved ice plus ice cream at Off the Grid’s Presidio Picnic on Sundays. Especially then.
It’s Tiki Night at Blackbird. Neat.
This Sunday, and only this Sunday, you can go to Blackbird and drink tiki drinks, listen to reggae and drink more tiki drinks. Because they’re having a tiki night. Which you likely deduced. We’ll be over here if you need us.
