Things to do for October 21, 2015
Bubbly, Biscuits and a Halloween-Themed Tiki Party
You should see a weekend about that.
Dollar Biscuits at the Fed. Go to Them.
There are evenings when you’re totally focused on things that are not biscuits. Then there are evenings like this one when the Fed’s massively fluffy biscuits will only set you back $1. They’ll also have $2 beers, but... one focal point at a time.
A Hat Party of the Highest Order
Okay, let’s get right to your questions:
Q: What do you mean by “hat party”?
A: Goorin Bros. is throwing a grand-opening party on Lincoln Road.
Q: What else?
A: Well, there’ll be gratis mojitos, coconuts from Robert Is Here and live music, for starters.
Q: Hat party?
A: Hat party.
A Psychologist, a DJ and Some Wine
On Friday, the Frost is hosting a Science Art Cinema thing with a talk from a UM psychologist about our brains on fear, followed by a screening of Queen of Blood. Also on hand: DJ Le Spam and gratis wine. Fear is a great motivator. Wine, too.
Sunday Brunch, Now with More Ocean
We hold the following truths to be self-evident:
1) There’s brunch on Sundays at Fresh American Bistro now.
2) It’s served overlooking the ocean.
3) It’s got stone crabs, caviar, Belgian waffles and a Bloody Mary bar.
4) You have a big dumb grin on your face right now.
Just Another Halloween-Themed Luau
Halloween is still over a week away. Not that it matters to the Freehand. See, they’re throwing a poolside luau this Sunday with barbecue, fire dancers and gratis Halloween-themed drinks from the Broken Shaker. They’re also requesting that you don your finest “scary” luau attire. Right. Good luck with that.
