Pancakes, Prosecco and PowerPoint Karaoke
No one puts weekend in a corner.
Raise your hand if you’ve done karaoke. Right. Now raise your hand if you’ve done karaoke with a bunch of PowerPoint slides featuring pictures of cats, bar graphs and inspirational quotes set on auto advance instead of your typical lyrics screen. Right. Godspeed.
Tonight: An Oyster-Heavy After-Party
Taste of the Nation is back. And this year, it’s brought a new after-party with it called “Chefs on the Half Shell.” As you might’ve guessed, it’ll include an endless parade of prosecco and expertly dressed bivalves from Lure and the Dutch. You’re pretty good at this guessing stuff.
Pretty hard to improve on a good Broken Shaker pool party. But when you throw in words like “cachaça drinks,” “Slap & Tickle DJs” and “after-party at 27,” well... guess it wasn’t so hard after all.
Did someone say bottomless pancakes? Yes. Yes they did. Because there’s a pancake bar at this party that’ll be serving endless amounts of happiness-inducing flapjacks until 2am. Oh, sure—there’ll be art and beer. Live body painting, too. But if it comes down to body painting or pancakes... you know what to do.
A Poolside Crawfish Boil Sounds Nice
Word has it that you’re looking for some new crawfish-boil action. And maybe we’ve heard that the Four Seasons is opening up their seventh-floor pool deck for a pop-up raw bar and a Southern-style boil made with lobster, crawfish and smoked sausage. Okay, yeah—we definitely heard that.
