Your Perks: 1) A 24-day supply of tablets that’ll help you cure hangovers. Biggest breakthrough in science since, we don’t know, name a big one... 2) An underwater drone with an HD camera. Like you don’t need one of those. 3) Vintage Rolexes for people who like gold, diamond and stunning things.
Things to do for July 02, 2015
Marty McFly, a Firefighter Pool Party and Brunch at 10pm
Give me weekend, or give me death.
These Burgers Require Your Grill
The folks at Midtown Oyster Bar are giving your barbecue an assist this weekend. See, they’ve got four-packs of their ready-to-grill patties just waiting for your charcoal. The burgers, well, they’re a mix of brisket, short rib, chuck and seasoning. But, right—no oysters. So, huh.
Back to the Future Turns 30. Whoa.
Soon, the Grove’s humble little drive-in will be packing up its projectors for the season. But first, a special showing of Back to the Future on its 30th anniversary. They’ll also be screening a retrospective of major pop culture events between 1985 to now. So... a second round of Jujubes it is.
Your Independence Day Directives
At Nikki Beach: You’ve got fireworks on the sand and eight different burgers including a
foie gras number and the MEEERRRICA with pork belly bacon smashed between two glazed donuts.
Meanwhile, in Fort Lauderdale: A fourth-floor terrace perched over the ocean awaits with DJs, fireworks and two open-air rotundas pouring a gratis champagne toast.
Brunch at 10pm. Now a Thing.
You’ve got a decision to make. You can wait until Sunday to brunch with corn-flake-crusted french toast, crab cake benedicts and $6 guava mojitos, or... you can get a jump on the whole thing while wearing your pajamas at City Hall’s late-night Saturday brunch. Tough call... okay, not really.
This Is a Pool Party with Firefighters
Fifty. You’ve been there a time or two. Enjoyed the cabana-ing by the pool. But that was before some individuals from the 2015 South Florida Firefighters Calendar decided to take over with a bikini contest/pool party with champagne. You’re invited, if that makes you feel any better.
