Your Perks: 1) A colorful collection of slim-fitting Jared Lang shirts. Because spring is a season that’s happening now. 2) Gordie Howe, Martin Brodeur and other hockey greats signed their jerseys for you. You can thank them never. 3) Exquisite, Swiss-made watches you could gift for Mother’s Day. Or keep for yourself.
Things to do for April 23, 2015
Wine, Yachts and Riverside King Crab Sliders
99 problems, but a weekend ain’t one.
Because It’s 90 Degrees Outside
Technically, it’s still spring. Which might be nice if our city respected things like “seasons.” But it doesn’t, so it’s 90 degrees out, and the only viable solution is moving. Kidding. It’s gelato. And Siena Tavern is packing up their homemade version in pints to go/eat within 45 seconds of purchase/whatever.
A Brief Discourse on Buns
Somehow, you’ve found yourself a concerning distance from civilization. A place called “West Kendall.” Naturally, provisions for survival are scarce. Relax. There’s now an oasis of buns out there. Short rib buns. Pancetta buns. Butifarra buns. Salad. Not sure how that last one got in there.
Fried Oysters and Bubbly by the River
There’s a heck of a champagne situation at Seaspice during the evening now. It involves $75 bottles of Moët. Reason being, it goes with stuff like king crab sliders, fried oysters and golden-colored sunsets on a winding river. The sunsets are on the house.
Lots of Nice Cars over Here
What: A gathering of some very fine modes of transportation for your perusal. Lamborghinis. Porsches. The “I’m on a Boat” yacht.
When: This Sunday.
Where: Museum Park in Downtown.
Why: See: the “I’m on a Boat” yacht and endless hashtag fodder.
Niu and Mignonette. Together. Yes.
For one night, two Downtown spots are joining forces. And by their powers combined they’re...
Migniukitchenette. Here’s what you can expect:
—Danny Serfer and Deme Lomas in the kitchen.
—10 courses of stuff like raw-shrimp tartare and lamb braciola.
—A notable lack of pronunciation keys.
