Things to do for March 19, 2015
Tacos, Dinosaurs and a Ramen Battle
Nothing but weekend.
Custom Shoes and Suits. Normal Whiskey.
Commonwealth Proper, the guys who make you look good in custom things, have gotten together with the shoe mongers of Cobbler Union and are throwing you a party tonight at their showroom. Show up and see the suits (they’ll make you one), the shoes (they’ll cobble you some) and the whiskey (they’ll share).
Bartaco Just Cloned Itself in Buckhead
Grab your date, your friends, your librarian and anyone else who loves tacos and make your way to the new Bartaco location in Buckhead. Pork posole. Caipirinhas. Fireplace-equipped patio—all still present and accounted for. Hopefully the fireplace is more of a formality at this point.
JCT. Bar has some news. Relax, it’s good news. They’re launching a patio-centric music series that’ll run through fall called Junction Funktions. It’ll bring you libational blessings like $3 beers and the new Tea-Juana Punch made with tequila and iced tea. Plus all that live music. Sounds just okay.
You, Jurassic Park and a Paleontologist
This Sunday, you’ll go to the auditorium at Fernbank. You’ll watch Jurassic Park. Then you’ll think of every dinosaur question you had as a kid. Then you’ll direct them all toward the paleontologist up front. Because there will be a paleontologist up front.
They’ve All Come to Make You Ramen
This Monday. Makan. It’s a battle for the coveted Ramen Cup. Someone’s taking it home. Maybe the beef boys of Illegal Food. Or the cocktail kids of Kimball House. Could be the Wrecking Bar’s wrecking crew. You be the judge. No, seriously... you be the judge. That got out of hand.
