Your Perks: 1) Dress socks. So many colorful dress socks, we stopped counting. 2) Handbags from a little label called Prada. Perhaps you know someone who might like one. 3) All the juices you need to close out summer in a strong, healthy, fruit-and-vegetable-forward way.
Things to do for August 21, 2015
Coffee-Keg Delivery and Your New Milkman
The weekend for $1,000, Alex.
A Sneaky New Downtown Coffee Spot
Great news if you’re ever in Downtown and interested in the occasional iced cappuccino or hot peanut brandy. There’s a tiny new place called Café Lucia where those can now be found. And here you thought you’d lost peanut brandy forever.
Coffee Kegs Delivered to Your Office
The local heroes of cold-brew caffeine at Wanderlust Coffee just launched a new delivery service wherein they bring not only bottles, but entire kegs of nitro coffee (including a kegerator and tap) to your office. Keep it next to the watercooler. Keep it next to your desk. Just keep it.
The Milkman Is Alive and Well
Almonds. Cashews. Pecans. Macadamias. Once proud nuts, now... prouder milks. Basically, a local company is taking some of your favorite nuts and making milks out of them (like sweet Georgia pecan). Plus, they’re bringing them right to your door, old-school-milkman-style. Minus the milk coming from cows.
Red Hare Is Turning the Big Four
We’re guessing you’ll be at Red Hare Brewing this Saturday, celebrating four years of their existence on earth. Makes sense, what with the four hours of live music and 11 specialty beers like a tequila-barrel-aged IPA. Plus a meatball truck. Can’t forget the meatball truck.
Ladybird and Shirts, Together at Last
New vendors are moving into Brick+Mortar’s Westside pop-up. And for that reason, it’s celebration time. Elk Head Clothing will bring in their natty shirts and pants. Little Barn Apothecary will supply the aftershave tonics and beard oils. Ladybird and Monday Night Brewing will handle the consumables. You’re in charge of... you.
