Your Perks: 1) Some of Banksy’s best work from his NYC residency is now ready for your walls. 2) A paper-thin portable battery charger. These should be mandatory. 3) A guitar signed by Eric Clapton or Van Halen or the Boss or... someone else equally legendary.
Things to do for March 05, 2015
Spaghetti Frittatas, Whiskey and Santana
Live long and weekend.
The World Golf Championship is happening now. Here’s your cheat sheet. The digs: the Trump Doral’s clubhouse. They’re turning it into a living room with live music, sushi and tequila. The entertainment: Santana. The booze: the BLT Prime on premises is offering specials on wine from pro golfers. Think: Greg Norman chardonnay. Obviously.
A New Beer Garden at the Raleigh
The Raleigh: not exactly top of mind when it comes to beer gardens. But starting tonight, there’ll be one. With bonfires and lawn games. And Wynwood Brewing beer. And s’mores, bratwurst and kielbasa from Restaurant Michael Schwartz. And wooden picnic tables to enjoy it all on. And... that’s all we got.
Congrats. You’re a Bartender Now.
Hanging out at the Regent: always solid. Hanging out at the Regent while some of the best drink slingers in the city teach you a thing or two about spirits and mixing them: solid-er. And this bimonthly bartending class goes down for the first time tomorrow. Consider it your after-school gin extra credit.
Maybe you had plans to drink some whiskey on Saturday. Maybe not. Thing is... now you definitely have plans to drink some whiskey on Saturday. Enter: the Miami Whiskey Mash Expo. With 60 different whiskeys at your palate’s disposal. You could even call it a monster Mash. And then apologize.
The Frittata Your Sunday Needs
Spaghetti. Frittatas. Both are pretty great on their own. But a spaghetti frittata... well, that’s just crazy. And yet, real. Because it’s part of Centolire’s new Sunday brunch, along with Bellinis and Rossinis to quench your thirst. Or whatever.
