Things to do for February 26, 2015
Beer, Barbecue and Disco
Oops, the weekend did it again.
Southern Pizza Is a Thing Now
South Miami’s Mellow Mushroom, a jaunty little spot with an outdoor patio, doesn’t have pizza. No, it has Southern pizza. And if you’re wondering about that, well, it’s dusted with cornmeal and stone-baked before being basted with garlic butter and parmesan. There’s also 52 types of beer here, but... who’s counting, really.
Café de Flore. It’s a movie from the director of Dallas Buyers Club and Wild. It’s being screened under the stars tonight as a kickoff to the Miami International Film Festival. It’s accompanied by gratis food and wine. It’s... always better with wine.
Looks like the Electric Pickle is turning six. And they’re celebrating all weekend long. Naturally. But we’d like to direct your attention to Saturday. That’s when the beer and gratis barbecue will be rolled out alongside the bands on their patio. Moral of the story: it pays to direct your attention.
Your Saturday evening plans are as follows:
7:30pm: Sit in on a symphonic exploration of Russian culture.
9pm: Cruise on over to the disco after-party at Basement Miami in the Edition.
Midnight: You’re at the Edition. It’s a hotel. We’ll let you take it from there.
How Semilla Does Brunch
Lobster benedicts, croque madames and endless pours of mimosas, Bellinis and Bloody Marys—all present and accounted for at Semilla’s new Sunday brunch. Not yet accounted for: your post-benedict nap.
