Don’t Not Go to This Party at MODA

In honor of MODA turning 25, they’re inviting you to a little party. They’ll have snow pea bruschetta and crudités and things. Not to mention a string quartet that can play anything from Bach to Beyoncé. Because of course it’s come to that.

High Road Isn’t Where You Left It

High Road is having their first tasting in the new Marietta factory on Saturday. You can eat peach fried pie ice cream there. Then, later this month, stop by to pick up party-size ice cream pans that you can’t get anywhere else. Which just makes you want them more.

Hard Pumpkin Cider. Happy Almost Fall.
NIGHT CIDER

Hard Pumpkin Cider. Happy Almost Fall.

Normally, you go to the Great Atlanta Beer Fest for things like the giant Jenga, dunking booths and the... well, the beer. But this year, you’re also going for the cider. They’ll have flavors like pear, strawberry-lime and pumpkin. To be clear, you’re still mainly going for the beer.

A Simple Little Dinner. In a Cemetery.

You would follow places like Leon’s, Kimball House and Iberian Pig anywhere. Including inside a Decatur cemetery. Which seems weird. Until you remember that it’s the thing with the dinner and the beer and the live music. Then it still seems weird, but also great.

Meet Decatur’s New Venezuelan Spot

You know Arepa Mia, that Venezuelan place with all the deviled-ham arepas and shredded-beef empanadas in the Sweet Auburn Curb Market. Well, they’re opening a bigger, shinier spot in Decatur on Saturday. Our scientists confirm that that’s better than a smaller, less-shiny spot.
