Your Perks: 1) A pair of cufflinks... that also happen to be functioning lighters. Offering a light will never be the same. 2) Handsome Moscow Mule mugs made from 100% copper—so they’ll last forever. 3) 59% off gallery-worthy canvases from Banksy. Maybe you’ve heard of him.
Things to do for March 27, 2014
What Swedish Models and Free Books Have in Common. Hint: It’s the Weekend.
Call the weekend Ishmael.
You’ve Only Got Four More Days
Sushi-and-sake stronghold Katsuya has never served lunch before. And since we just said that, you can probably guess where this is headed. Yep: skydiving lessons. Kidding. It’s lunch. They’re serving it through Sunday and then it’s gone forever. Unless they do this again, in which case it’s gone until they do this again.
Sweden: about 34 degrees. Miami: about 73 degrees. These numbers don’t lie. These numbers also suggest that you should be drinking gratis cocktails from a Swedish cider house on the Boulan South Beach rooftop tomorrow night. Also present: DJs and some lovely Swedish ambassadors. We think that means models.
Until Next Season, Starlite Drive-In
Let us all bow our heads in a moment of silence for the Blue Starlite Drive-In. Soon, it will no longer exist. Well, until next season. In the meantime, send it out in style by catching classics like Pee-wee’s Big Adventure and Pulp Fiction. And probably drinking boxed wine.
Verde at the PAMM has a new brunch. Which is tremendous for a few reasons: 1) Guava margaritas. 2) Squash blossom pizza. 3) Drinking guava margaritas and eating squash blossom pizza by the water while you talk about sunglasses and how great it is that this is happening.
Free books in the middle of a swamp. Who knew. Turns out, this month’s Bookleggers Mobile Library (if you’re not yet familiar, this would be the weekend) is headed to the Everglades to hand out free tomes and generally just be weird. Anyway, that’s happening.
