Things to do for March 28, 2013
Petting Zoo Brunch, Cheerleaders and Adult Easter Egg Hunting
Don’t think. Just weekend.
Filson Sale. You Should Get on This.
There’s a pretty big Filson sale happening at Five Mile. Quite timely, really. Because until spring… finally happens, you may find yourself in need of some long-sleeve feather-cloth shirts. Or a twill bucket bag. Maybe even a deerskin-lined gun case. Definitely the shirts, though. Anyway—sale.
An Honest-to-God Egg Hunt at Havana
You may not have planned on this, but you’ll be partaking in some festivities this weekend. Festivities that involve hundreds of colorful eggs. And DJs. And dancing. And champagne. Yep. You’re full-on egg hunting at Havana tomorrow night. Check high. Check low. Definitely check by the bar a few times.
Cheerleaders. 8 Breweries. Hawks Game.
Saturday, you’re going to the Hawks game. If for no other reason than to drink beer. Steins full of it. Explanation: this party called Hawktoberfest. More explanation: eight breweries will be at the game, along with a German band, sauerbraten sandwiches and photo ops with the cheerleaders. Because, well, you like those things.
The Petting Zoo Brunch Is Real. See...
Imagine yourself at brunch this weekend. There’s a DJ, of course. Bottomless mimosas: obviously. Oh, right... and a bunch of bunnies, pygmy goats and chickens just hanging out on the patio waiting to get petted. Ah, you must be at Cucina Asellina. That’s what they’re setting up on Sunday. For some reason.
We’ve Got a French Crepe Truck Now
On the record, a new food truck with French-style crepes is launching in Midtown next Thursday. Off the record, it’s doing some semisecret preopening business starting Monday. Just email Giovanna (she’s the owner) and track her down. Get a peach-bourbon-and-bacon crepe. Semisecret preopening business is the greatest.
