Hey, here’s an extra $100 toward gift sets of top-shelf spirits and champagne—delivered. (It’s okay if you’re gifting yourself.) Also: take up to 75% off technologically advanced winter coats from Aether and 30% off a seriously nifty phone-charging tripod (with a really weird name).
Things to do for December 27, 2012
Saying Goodbye to 2012 with Santigold and Roasted Pig
Excuse me while I kiss the weekend.
A Very Lucky Feast at Essensia
You’re not the superstitious type, but apparently there’re certain foods that certain cultures consider lucky. And to mark the end of 2012, you’re going to eat a bunch. Enter Essensia’s Lucky 13 dinner—a multicourse feast of fortunate foodstuffs like pork, cornbread and fresh branzino. Now to find a craps game for dessert...
You and Santigold at the Delano
The Delano: great with the poolside parties. Which is good, because they’re throwing one there for New Year’s. Head to the blowout for the requisite bar, the requisite champagne toast and the requisite Santigold concert. Don’t forget your requisite bathing suit.
Nikki Beach’s Venetian Carnival
You’d expect Nikki Beach’s year-end fete to be pretty crazy. Well, we’re here to report that... you’re exactly right. It’s a Venetian-themed carnival with DJs, a New York–style ball drop, colorful explosions (also known as fireworks) and a bunch of sexy masqueraders. Make sure to bring a designated gondolier.
Because one pool party is never enough, we present the swanky waterside open bar of Acqualina. They’ll be ringing in the new year here with a live DJ, seared tenderloin and lobster ravioli. Nobody should have to watch fireworks on an empty stomach.
It’s important to start the year off right. We’re thinking Downtown views, roasted suckling pig and bottomless mimosas. All of which will be available at Edge at the Four Seasons for a special New Year’s Day brunch. Nobody has to know you slept in that tux.
