The Weekend Starts Here
The weekend could really use a weekend.
And speaking of nightlife evolution, the velvet-ropey pool bar at the Mondrian is now aiming to draw something entirely new and different on Thursdays—hipsters east of Hillhurst. Treat them kindly, as they're far removed from their natural habitat.
Perhaps a bit of musical theater for you this weekend—like a new rock opera based on the life of the first real adult-film megastar, Linda "Deep Throat" Lovelace. The whole thing was co-written by one of the Go-Go's, straying far from the days of "Our Lips are Sealed." In many ways.
