This week, we’re hooking you up with rugged Italian-made leather bags from Peter Nappi and selvage denim jeans from Tennessee’s Imogene + Willie. Oh, and we’re sending you on a postcard-worthy luxury camping trip in Montana—let’s just say there are camping butlers involved.
Things to do for February 16, 2012
Block Parties, Basel and the Big Bang
Tippecanoe and the weekend, too.
Today, we take you all the way back to... December 2011. To a magical thing called Art Miami. Well, it’s here again, sort of—the people behind it are bringing you Art Wynwood, with contemporary works from over 50 international galleries. Consider it spring training for Basel.
Tonight, BrickellHouse is having a housewarming. Their gift to you: a block party with funk music (courtesy of DJ Le Spam), a food truck rally (GastroPod and Sugar Yummy Mama) and plenty of cocktails. So just like your last housewarming.
Late-Night Wine at AltaMare
The folks at AltaMare want to make your late-night trysting a little sweeter with two-for-one on all of their libations—martinis, beer, champagne, even a $750 ’75 Château Lafite Rothschild bordeaux. Which really should only be enjoyed in pairs.
So the Miami Science Museum’s Big Bang soiree is this Saturday. There, you’ll enjoy Cuba Libres and unleash your legendary running man to DJed beats. It’s black-tie optional, but maybe leave the periodic-table bow tie at home.
A Slice of Philly at Harry’s
Philly: home to cheesesteak, the Fresh Prince and a Michelin-starred restaurant called Vetri. And for one night, the chef will be taking over Harry’s Pizzeria, churning out Italian fare from his new cookbook like veal cannelloni and tiramisu. No, the Phillie Phanatic won’t be in attendance.
