Scientists have shown that rough nights lead to rougher mornings-after. Fortunately, the scientists at Nickel have invented Morning After Rescue Gel—a hangover-curing face cream infused with caffeine, citrus and soy protein to smooth any lingering roughness. Now, our scientists at Perks are bringing it to you for 40% off. Let’s hear it for science.
Things to do for October 14, 2010
Suckling Pig, Scarecrows and Sid Mashburn
The weekend has big plans for you.
A New Happy Hour at Bottle Bar
It’s Thursday afternoon, which means that right about now you’re thinking about cocktails. And burgers. Well, we have a new happy hour for you, and you’ll find it at Buckhead Bottle Bar for $1 sliders (beef, shrimp, pork) and $1 tomato pizzas every weeknight. Which should at least help prep you for the cocktail part.
Tonight, after the sun sets, you and your date will find yourselves drifting through the woods with a flashlight in one hand and a cold craft beer in the other... also, you will be completely surrounded by sketchy-looking scarecrows. But trust us, there’s no better wingman than a sketchy scarecrow.
It’s no secret: on any given day in Little Five Points, things can get a bit... interesting. And then there’s Halloween. That’s right, this weekend is the L5P Halloween Parade with an endless stream of live bands, fire performances, parades and, yes, even a suspension group. Whatever that is.
Turns out, Krog Bar turns five this weekend. And to celebrate, they’re throwing you a party at their place. Stop by and you’ll find yourself surrounded by live folk music, free-flowing wine, paella and, of course, a whole suckling pig roast out in the parking lot. And all you got them was a toaster oven.
Trunk Showing at Sid Mashburn
It’s fall, or as you like to call it, new suit season. We’d recommend starting at Sid Mashburn for the d’Avenza trunk show, where a tailor will be on hand all day to present you with swatches of old-school Italian fabric before custom fitting you for your new suit(s). You look good in old-world.
