Things to do for October 07, 2010
A Road Trip Brunch, Cigars and Lederhosen
The weekend has a full tank and isn’t afraid to use it.
Not that you had any interest in the matter, but we’ll go ahead and let you know that starting this Saturday, for a full month, Atlanta will be celebrating the adult entertainment industry. Okay, so it’s more like an adult-y art exhibit... but you get the point.
Unfortunate event names aside, Roktoberfest plans on making it up to you this Saturday with plenty of German food, Red Brick beer tastings (you’ll want to put up the extra $5 and get a mug) and live ’80s/’90s-ish music by Sun Domingo. Hypercolor lederhosen optional.
Every Sunday in October, Wolf Mountain Vineyards is hosting an indoor/outdoor brunch (think plantation stew and fried chicken) with a live bluegrass band and, more important, a good excuse for that road trip date you’ve been thinking about. Might want to look into cabin rentals while you’re up there... you could always blame it on the wine.
A Solid Fourth-Date Option at P’cheen
And while we’re on the subject of dates, P’cheen just rolled out yet another option for your arsenal. Every Tuesday night, $30 gets you (and your date) three courses, from Drunken Shrooms to Angus and Portabella Burgers with harissa aioli. Tip: drunk mushrooms and burgers = no sooner than date 4 (or 6).
Three Rums and Gratis Cigars
Ah, rum and cigars. They go together like... rum and cigars. And to help celebrate that fact, this Wednesday Highland Cigar will be pairing three rums, all hailing from the Dominican Republic, with a gratis Room 101 cigar. Wine and cheese just got owned.
