Tequila and Tacos on Hollywood Boulevard

A lot can change in a week.

Next Monday, you could be fanning yourself with a winning lottery ticket on your new hovercraft, resplendent in a suit made entirely of $50 bills.

Or you could be sitting in the Hollywood sun, digging into a huge spread of tacos and tequila with your friends.

Either way, you should know that Te’Kila opens on Hollywood Boulevard one week from today.

That’s right: in the former home of La Cantina, you’ll now find a south-of-the-border tequila barn designed by Hollywood’s own Kris Keith (Goal, BoHo), with plank wood-covered walls, wrought-iron chandeliers and Saltillo tile floors. (Hopefully you won’t have to inspect the Saltillo too closely.)

They open at 11am daily, in case you need some huevos rancheros to get you back into fighting shape. And you’ll definitely want to come by around dinnertime for a table on the large patio, kicking your night in the ass with a round of shots from the 100-deep tequila menu. (The Herradura Seleccion Suprema goes for $75 a shot, in case you’re really looking to lose your mind.)

And as your night fades into oblivion (they’ll be open until 4am Thursdays through Saturdays), you’ll want to supplement your Cucumber Margaritas and Mexican Mojitos with some shrimp tacos, pork burritos and deep-fried ice cream.

Deep-fried ice cream is the world’s best chaser.
