July brings Miami Spa Month (which is actually two months), and Miami Spa Month brings $99 massages, body scrubs and facials at some of the best spas in the city. Our favorite might be the Lapis Spa at the Fontainebleau, where you can kick back afterward in a co-ed hot tub. (The co-ed shower will have to take place somewhere else.)
You’ve long been an admirer of Wynwood hipster haven Cafeina. Now they’re launching a $7 happy hour menu, so you can nosh on hockey puck-sized crab cakes, mini Kobe burgers and tuna tacos—and wash them down with beer and well drinks from $4 to $6.
If you still haven’t checked out the double-barreled splendor that is Miami’s only burlesque and absinthe club, this weekend is a good time. They’re christening a weekly Friday-night party with free vodka and absinthe cocktails from 11pm to midnight, followed by a scantily clad performance. Which is your favorite kind of clad performance.
The most patriotic thing you can do on Sunday is have someone cook for you. Out on the terrace at the Trump, they’ll be grilling up unlimited mounds of Memphis-style baby back ribs, North Carolina chopped pork, Texas beef brisket and Kansas City Angus beef sliders. Think of it as a road trip through America’s beef capitals, without any of the gas station bathrooms.
