City Winery + Moody Tongue + Vodka = This Riverwalk Pop-Up

History lesson: the intersection of the Chicago River was where the city's three original taverns first set up shop back in the day. To celebrate, there's a new pop-up happening there every other week this summer involving local wine, beer and live music. And presumably a fair amount of joy.

For Those About to Korean BBQ

And lo, the only Michelin-rated Korean barbecue spot in town opened a new outpost in River West, this time with a full bar. And the people rejoiced and drank Korean rice wine and all was well. Anyway, enjoy.

Other Pitchfork After-Parties Need Not Apply

Pitchfork is back. You can spend the night telling everyone you've been listening to [insert cool indie artist here] before everyone else. Or you can spend the night doing karaoke and drinking that frozen pink stuff at the BellyQ after-party across the street. We trust you'll do the right thing.

RM Champagne Finally Discovers Brunch After All These Years

Your favorite alley hideaway, RM Champagne Salon, has a secret. She likes brunch just as much as the next girl. So come Sunday, she'll launch her own. True to form, it'll be a Parisian affair with croque-madame, caviar toast and of course, Champagne. Hi there, mimosa bar.

FOR THE WIN

Behold: The World Series of Cocktail Competitions. Basically.

This weekend, every bartender worth their salt in Logan Square is coming together for a friendly little competition, and you get to reap the benefits. First, welcome cocktails from Lost Lake. Then, 12 bars (Scofflaw, Estereo, Billy Sunday…) will throw down. You'll be in there somewhere just sort of drinking stuff.
