UrbanDaddy is always looking for fresh talent in every area of our business. We are hiring for the following positions:

Los Angeles Editor

We are seeking a full time editor for the Los Angeles edition of UrbanDaddy.

UrbanDaddy is an email magazine geared towards men (think of DailyCandy with a GQ/Esquire sensibility) with a strong following in Los Angeles. The LA edition is comprised of a single story every day on something new/insider/useful/cool that is relevant to people who want to be on the cutting edge of what’s going on in town.

The Los Angeles editor is responsible for representing the UD brand in LA – which means coming up with relevant ideas, setting the editorial calendar and producing a daily story that shares what’s new, hot, exciting and essential related to: food, nightlife, style, gear, entertainment, cultural events and leisurely pursuits.

Requirements:

The right candidate will possess:

• Bachelor’s degree – Journalism or English preferred, but not required
• Over three years of experience at an established publication (*but not necessary if you have a natural talent and passion for writing with snark and the ability to learn the UrbanDaddy voice… in which case, just write us a brief cover letter that explains and displays this)
• An undying love for Los Angeles (specifically in the areas of food, nightlife and entertainment)
• A love (and knack) for sourcing interesting and ahead-of-the-curve content
• A strong understanding of the UD voice and brand
