More Dancing, Less Lounging in SoMa

Once again, we’re back to Friday.

Congratulations are in order.

In honor of the occasion, we’d like to tell you about a bigger, livelier, more debonair spot where you can blow off some steam.

Allow us to present Sloane Squared, the very generous expansion of Sloane that’s less lounge and more nightclub, at your service starting tonight and every Friday and Saturday going forward.

You know Sloane as the sharp, London-inspired boutique bar from Fluid and Mezzanine vets. You also know it as that club that’s missing a proper dance floor... And that’s about to change, as they’ve taken over the two office spaces next door to build what turns out to be the nightclub equivalent of a playground—with everything from an elevated catwalk to a labyrinthine mezzanine to, of course, the designated dance floor.

You’ll want to reserve one of the dozen newly minted black leather sofas—preferably on the second floor to maximize the lofty urban warehouse vibe. Of course, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t order a few sidecars at the new marble bar en route to the dance floor.

And if you’ve been waiting for the unveiling of a massive chandelier made out of lab bottles and hung in the reverse topographical image of SF’s skyline, you should know that it’s scheduled to make its debut in the next few weeks.

Masterpieces don’t happen overnight.
