It's not easy to fly under the radar.
Especially if you're a coffee shop in a town that takes coffee shop worship to a new level.
But on the bustling corner of 24th and Folsom, a little spot has been trying to keep everything under
wraps—including its name—for a couple weeks now. But you deserve the truth…
Welcome Haus, the previously nameless café that'll be your newest caffeinated hangout,
softly open in the up-and-coming Mission corridor.
Even if you don't live or work nearby, you'll want to keep this spot on your radar because it's one of the
few coffeehouses equipped with the double whammy of both a fireplace and a back patio (that'll be ready soon
for sunny days in the city's sunniest neighborhood).
Keep it simple and drop in for an expertly crafted double espresso made from Ritual Roasters beans and a
morning bun from Noe Valley Bakery. Or, if you have more time, bring a date and take over the black leather
sofa by the fireplace, order a French press coffee brewed with De La Paz beans, and forget that you're in a
public place.
In true indie coffeehouse form, they're planning rotating exhibits by local artists, with the first
installation coming in the next week or so.
Just don't tell anyone…
