You've been meaning to get out of town.

Somewhere with quiet, Secret Garden-esque courtyards. Poolside cabanas. Drinks delivered to poolside cabanas. That sort of thing.

And as fate would have it, Hotel Nia and its accompanying restaurant, Porta Blu, are here to welcome you with open arms. And all of that other stuff. They're open now in Menlo Park looking like this

You and your fellow escapee will flee the city and travel down the peninsula to this gleaming, 11-story glass tower that will serve as your oasis for the weekend.

You'll walk through the expansive lobby, grabbing a sneak peek at the aforementioned restaurant to your right before heading up to your bay view suite. You'll then have some choices: lounge around there on the custom furniture, stroll through the beautiful courtyards, or head to a cabana by the pool accompanied by a live DJ. You'll obviously choose all three.

When the times comes, and it will come, you'll finally make your way to Porta Blu, where a fourth-generation French chef will ply you with upscale Mediterranean dishes like Jamon Serrano flatbread and Portuguese steak frites alongside seasonal cocktails like the Sweet Heat with tequila, Licor 43, lime juice and jalapeño syrup.

Or you'll just have all of that delivered to your cabana.
