The Crème Brûlée Cart, Now in Store Form

In 2009, a man named Curtis brought a cart and a blowtorch to Dolores Park.

He used those things to make crème brûlée.

This caused you to be happy. And the rest is history.

Actually, the rest is a new late-night sugar factory with double chocolate crème brûlée and pinball.

It’s called The Crème Brûlée Cart. It’s the shop version of the semilegendary, fully delicious mobile dessertery. And it’s opening tomorrow in the Mission.

But before you go, know this...

You can build your own crème brûlée.
Each one is still torched to order at the shop, and they’ll always have a rotating selection of staples like the Love (with toasted marshmallows and their version of Golden Grahams). But the real beauty is that you can mix and match whatever you want. Homemade Twix. Peanut butter malt balls. It’s all fair game.

The Harlem Globetrotters live there.
In pinball machine form, that is. It’s from the ’70s. You can play it. As for the rest of the place, it’s... small. Just enough room for some wooden wine boxes filled with vintage blowtorches and a case filled with toppings. Good thing toppings are the best.

It’s open until midnight on weekends.

...

Just thought you and your date should know that.
