Hot dogs, cold beer and baseball.

Yeah, this place has some pretty damn good timing.

This place being Pine Tar Grill, the city's newest restaurant and bar devoted to the Giants and baseball in general at near-worship levels, now open in SoMa just in time to celebrate all things America. Here's the slideshow

You'll arrive early on game day with a handful of friends and immediately know you're home, from the orange and black chairs to the walls lined with baseball bats that the owner collected from MLB games over the years. Oh, and TVs. Lots of those, too.

And because no sporting event would be complete without them, make sure to grab one of their Ball Game Dogs like the Bacon Jack Dog with applewood bacon, jalapeño jack cheese, avocado and chipotle mayo. Then maybe add on some tradition favorites like Buffalo wings or buttermilk onion rings.

Knowing another key component to game-watching, you'll make sure to grab a draft of St. Archer IPA or, hell, a cocktail. Settle in. Have a few more. Slap your friends on their backs and make plans to come back for brunch sometime.

We really can't stress the back-slapping enough.
