How the SLS Does the Bahamas

We’re not here to confirm or deny such statements.

But off the record, that statement is totally true.

Maybe.

Speaking of which, here comes the SLS LUX at Baha Mar, a new outpost from the design-obsessed hoteliers for sexy Caribbean-based extracurricular activities, taking reservations now for a June opening. (See the slideshow.)

This place has the same funky aesthetic you’ve come to know at their SoBe outpost—except it’s in the Bahamas. Which means there’s a casino. Among other things. Like...

Cleo and Katsuya. Yep, your meze and yellowtail sashimi are within arm’s reach. Okay, you might have to take a few steps.

A rooftop bar. It’s called Fly Rooftop Bar. It looks out over the beach. Oh, and there’s the small matter of the aforementioned casino. It’s 100,000 square feet filled with 150 table games and over 1,000 slot machines.

Rooms. They’ve got those, too. Three hundred of them, in fact. With rainfall showers, Bahamian-designed furniture and balconies.

A pool, naturally. One of the few private ones in all of Baha Mar, where you’ll find “rain cabanas” that use cascading water in place of curtains.
