Ale Yeah

The Stat Sheet: MIA Brewing Co.

January is hops-growing season.

Okay, we just made that up. But that’s what it feels like with this sudden influx of new breweries. Not that you’re complaining. You’re just going to keep drinking it all in while we bring you the essential information on each house of beer.

Next up: MIA Brewing Co. It’s a 54-tap wonderland of beer out in Doral. And it’s soft-open now. Below: the stats.

The vibe: Industrial slick. All polished concrete and brick with a massive L-shaped granite bar. Also: a glass-paneled garage door with direct views of the fermenting room. Sexy. (See the slideshow.)

The pedigree: The brewmaster here worked at Finch’s Beer Co. up in Chicago.

Number of beers made on-site: Currently, they’ve got 19.

Number of beers on tap: There’s the potential for 54 lines here, but you’ll typically find 19 of those filled.

The food situation: Panini and charcuterie... for now. Their kitchen should be wrapped up by the end of the month and with it, a full 17-item menu.

The unexpected beer: Conga Lime. It’s a cream ale brewed with key lime puree and lavender. Tastes just like a slice of key lime pie.

And beer.
