A New Late-Night Scene in Brickell

We're happy to report that Brickell has been blowing up lately. Between late-night sandwich bars, cavernous Irish pubs and cozy movie theaters, the once-sleepy corridor is fully awakened, and we're pretty sure it's even gotten out of its PJs.

But no matter how hopping a neighborhood is getting, you can always use another reason to sip wine, mingle with beautiful people and feast on platters of smoked meats.

Say hello to Sci Sci, open today after a packed-to-the-rafters soft opening last night.

Think of this place as your little slice of South Beach on the mainland, but without all the velvet ropes and clipboards. Located in the ground floor of the shiny new 1060 condo building, Sci Sci (pronounced "She-She") is the kind of place you'll come to for a leisurely dinner, and then end up staying to socialize with European stunners getting their late-night cafecita fix.

We recommend starting with a glass of Prosecco on a bright orange couch on the outdoor patio, the perfect spot to take in those Metropolis-like views of the towering condos downtown. When your crew is ready for dinner, head inside, claim a polished wooden booth and prepare for a feast of southern Italian dishes like Buccatini With Italian Bacon and Pecorino and heaping platters of Angus Beef Tenderloin With Porcini Mushrooms.
