Your Latest Excuse to Drink Spanish Wine

Ah, summer in Miami.

Traffic eases, bikinis are considered acceptable daytime attire, and things pretty much slow down.

Well, all except that last part. Things aren't slowing down. In fact, the city just got a jolt of caliente excitement in the form of Soleá, now open at the W South Beach.

The first restaurant to open at the new W, Soleá is the kind of sexy supper club you'd find in Madrid, only with a bit less Castilian being bandied about the table.

It's brought to you by the guys behind Lincoln Road's Quattro and Mokai, so don't be surprised if you find yourself surrounded by elegant Mediterranean tapas, Spain's most tempting wines and, of course, Miami's most tempting women. (Think Jessica Alba, and then double it.)

If you're with a merry band of revelers, reserve one of the communal tables made from a single slab of fallen maple wood and order up a slew of small plates like Baked Crab Cakes, Foie Gras & Goat Cheese Empanadas and mouthwatering platters of Striped Bass and Red Snapper, flown in daily from Mediterranean waters and lovingly cooked a la plancha (grilled) or baked in the formidable brick oven.

When the weather cools down, you'll want to sit outside overlooking the Grove, the hotel's Eden-like garden of hidden enclaves.

We strongly feel that these are the best types of enclaves.
