Take a deep breath.

You smell that?

No, of course you don’t. Scratch-and-sniff screens aren’t a thing yet.

Oh, but Wapo Taco is. Yes, it’s the blessed union of charcoal-grilled tacos and icy micheladas, now open in Coral Gables. (Cue the slideshow... now.)

And your talking points are as follows:

They’ve got a place out in Hallandale.
But this one a) doesn’t require a passport (sorry, Broward), and b) is noticeably bigger. Yep, 2,000 square feet of open kitchen, orange-tiled wraparound bar, colorful mosaic tiles, double-spit-fire pastor rotators and charcoal grills. Which is a convenient segue into our next point...

They’re serving you charcoal-grilled tacos.
Made by seasoned grill men from Mexico City using a variety of chilies, herbs and spices from an old family recipe. Like the campechano with grilled skirt steak, stewed chorizo and chicharrón, or the al pastor with slowly roasted marinated pork sliced into warm corn tortillas made on a comal they brought from Mexico.

Your thirst is well served here.
In the form of Mexican sodas and micheladas.

Also: water. But that’s less exciting.
