There’s a land. Where wine flows freely, pasta grows on trees and bocce goes into the wee hours of the night.

That land is called... Broward.

Okay, maybe we took some liberties with the pasta part.

Say buongiorno to Louie Bossi’s, a charming new Italian destination with a fire-pit-friendly piazza, a bocce court and a salumi bar for convenient refueling, now open in Fort Lauderdale. (Here’s the slideshow.)

Easy on the eyes, this place. The type of spot where you might gather a few friends for some competitive bocce-ing over spritzes in the great outdoors. But it also feels right at home hosting a spirited cork-versus-screw-cap debate with a comely oenophile (note: the oenophile is always right).

For the latter: grab one of those red tufted booths inside. The one with the open kitchen and dry-aging ribeye in its line of sight. Soon enough, a massive slab of shared porchetta will be bestowed upon your awaiting table. (Here’s the menu.)

But for the former, you’ll hit that outside piazza with the blazing fire pit and bocce ball court for some house-cured salumi and pizza topped with guanciale and quail egg.
