A Sultry Lair of Moroccan Delights

None 4 Photos Fèz
Well, so long, Halloween.

And so long, candy corn, jack-o’-lanterns and the parade of ill-conceived Mileys.

Because today’s the dawn of a new day.

As far as your next kebabs are concerned.

Roll out the carpet for Fèz, an exotic Moroccan shrine to lamb belly and seafood tagine, now open in South Beach.

This place is in the old Miami Beach Cinematheque space on Espanola. So those old Moroccan-esque window frames you remember, well, they feel right at home here. Also right at home: the ceramic tagine pots, pillows and lanterns they’ve imported from Morocco. Sticklers for authenticity, these guys.

Now that you know what you’re working with here, gauge your date options. Your play: the black cushioned banquette tucked up against the window. Order a couple of plates to share. Grilled octopus and lamb belly to start. Next, flat-iron-steak kebabs and seafood tagine prepared by a chef who hails from Morocco.

Then, once you’ve had a little time to settle in, take a look behind the bar. Yup, that’s a movie. They project old-school flicks back there like Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves and Casablanca.

Keep the quoting to a minimum.
