We interrupt your normally scheduled whatever to bring you an important message from the city of Hong Kong:

“You’ll like this.”

Hmm. Cryptic.

We believe, however, that they’re talking about Hong Kong Café, a vibrant Asian eatery that pays tribute to the burgeoning café scene in the Pearl of the Orient. It’s open now at the Palazzo.

The slideshow is wondrous, but the menu can be overwhelming. You may require some guidance. This is the part where we deliver that guidance.

If you’re desperate for Chinese food...
Take a deep breath at your bamboo-topped table under that interestingly shaped pendant light and order the Macau-style pork chop sandwich or deep-fried string beans with minced pork. Everything will be okay.

If you’re feeling something more American...
Café culture in Hong Kong is famous for blending Western-inspired dishes with distinctly Asian flavors. So you can get a club sandwich here. You can also get ham-and-egg macaroni soup. Which is likely as good and as bad as it sounds.

If you’re in the mood for dessert...
There’s a crispy Chinese donut. Also: a coconut-sake-and-rum drink.

If you’ve got a hankering for Spam served with instant noodle soup...
Well, okay. But please fix your hankerings.
