An Upscale Soda Fountain with Cocktails and Pie

The Cowboys won, and here’s a new place full of cocktails and pie.

2015 looks promising.

Cure what ails you at Remedy, an elegant nod to old-school soda fountains where you can eat and drink really, really well. It comes courtesy of the HG Sply Co. guys, and it’s now open for dinner on Lower Greenville. (See the slideshow.)

It’s all bright and airy inside, with high ceilings, cool grays and pistachio greens. It’s nice. And behind that white marble bar they’re mixing up cocktails like The Signet with scotch, Chartreuse and cacao. And they’re also sporting a custom carbonation system for making bubbly drinks like Kaffir lime sodas and vanilla egg creams.

But say you’re hungry. That’s believable. And in that case, you’ll want to work your way through the comforting menu (this is it). Share some jalapeño-chive hush puppies with a like-minded companion, then dive into a redfish sandwich or some fried chicken. Just be sure to leave room for dessert. Because dessert consists of homemade ice cream sundaes and a rotating assortment of pies.

Coincidentally, the very things you resolved to eat more of this year.
