Sometimes it's hard to see an old friend go through changes.

But when those changes involve a bottom-to-top renovation with a shiny new rooftop hangout... it's a bit easier.

It also helps if this friend is Twenty Five Lusk and not your college buddy, Kevin.

Welcome to the newly reopened Twenty Five Lusk and, more importantly, its brand new rooftop bar and lounge, Rooftop 25. Take a look around.

A new rooftop in San Francisco. Imagine that. And once you're done, grab some fellow fair-weather-lovers and head 50 feet up to the new lounge with mahogany tables protected by glass windscreens. And a retractable canopy because they're real about how fair our weather actually is.

After commandeering some spots at a communal high-top, it would be wise to then procure a large-format frozen pitcher of margaritas or John Dalys. Or to try an adult Otter Pop like the watermelon sangria one. Or, fine, a regular cocktail if you must.

As you relax and begin to recount the week's misadventures, go ahead and decide between that Dungeness crab roll or that skillet burger on a pizza dough bun with shishito aioli and Highway 1 cheese. And if you get tired of the outdoors, you can always retire to the newly renovated subterranean lounge, the Social.

But you won't, so never mind.
