A Week of Powder Hunting in the Rockies

None 13 Photos Freeskiing from Big Sky to Jackson Hole
Pack a bag, you’re going hunting.

But for goodness’ sake, no weapons.

Because it’s snow.

You’re hunting snow.

This is where Freeskiing from Big Sky to Jackson Hole comes in. It’s a week of skiing the Rockies’ freshest powder and après-skiing the freshest hot tubs, now booking for a February send-off.

Here’s a slideshow. And here’s what you can expect.

You’ll fly into Bozeman, Montana.
From there, it’s off to Big Sky Resort. Relax, have a drink and meet your snow-obsessed guides.

You’ll spend a few days freeskiing at Big Sky.
That means chutes, bowls and wherever else the powder’s good. Like the mountain’s Big Couloir run, a steep and narrow trail that starts at the 11,000-foot summit.

You’ll spend the night at...
Well, you’ve got a couple options to choose from. 1) A condo, or 2) a massive chalet with a fireplace and hot tub. (Chalet. Always choose chalet.)

You’ll hop over to Jackson Hole.
There you’ll navigate a vertical drop of more than 4,000 feet, one of the continent’s largest. And since your itinerary’s flexible, if your guide hears of good powder in the Tetons... road trip.

You don’t even have to chip in for gas.
