Some Celebratory After-Hours Sandwiches

Well, Deli Board’s been around for six years now. And in true celebratory-sandwich-shop fashion, they’re staging a BYOB pop-up dinner series highlighting their most popular offerings. Tonight, it’s burritos. Tomorrow, nachos. Various nights next week: brisket, Reubens and gyros. Stand down, tuna salad.

Sep 17, 18, 24 and 25, 6-9pm, Deli Board, 1058 Folsom St (at Russ), 415-552-7687

Friday
Beer. Polka. Lederhosen. Good Times.
HAUS PARTY

Beer. Polka. Lederhosen. Good Times.

Schroeder’s is kicking off Oktoberfest by turning Front Street into a Bavarian beer hall. They’ll have Bavarian-beer-hall things like polka dancing, stein-holding contests and unholy amounts of beer. And then they’ll continue doing similar things throughout October. Which makes so much sense.

Sep 18, 3pm, Schroeder’s, 240 Front St (at Sacramento), 415-421-4778

Saturday
You Like Cheese. Here’s a Bunch of It.
WILL YOU DAIRY ME

You Like Cheese. Here’s a Bunch of It.

Here’s where you can hang out with over 20 cheesemakers, cheesemongers, sheep breeders and buffalo milkers while eating their renowned cheeses and pairing them with local beers. A friend or a date works, too.

Sunday
This Thing? It’s a Bloody Mary Fest.
YOU SAY TOMATO

This Thing? It’s a Bloody Mary Fest.

You: Where can I get a spicy, tomato-based cocktail this Sunday?
Us: This festival, where they’re doing three hours of all-you-can-drink Bloody Marys with bartenders hailing from spots like Elixir, Maven and 25 Lusk.
You: Thanks. I’ll go there.

Wednesday
Tonga Room’s Getting Up There
TROPIC THUNDER

Tonga Room’s Getting Up There

Tonga Room is celebrating its 70th birthday. What this means for you:

—Wondering what a tiki-chic dress code entails.
—Tropical drinks.
—An indoor pool with a floating stage for housing live musicians as fake thunder sounds throughout the room.

Just pretend all of that’s weird for Tonga Room.
