Some May Call This Beer a Masterpiece

Different kind of museum exhibit tonight. See, Magnolia Brewery worked with the California Academy of Sciences on a brew made with the kinds of plants (yarrow, rose hips, sage, honeysuckle) found on the CAS living roof, and it’s ready to taste. They’re not the first artists inspired by beer.

Pants That Could Feasibly Outlive You

Quick, think about what you’ll be doing 25 years from today. If you guessed “admiring how my thighs look in 25-year-old khakis,” well, okay. RPMWest is moving beyond jeans to get you durable khakis that they pinkie swear will be good in 25 years. No actual pinkies involved.

You can’t help it. When you get near each other, you just start feeling warm feelings. You and Umami’s Truffle Burger (with truffled aioli, truffle cheese and a truffle glaze) might just be made for each other. It’s eight bucks on Valentine’s Day, and some other days.

Through Feb 15, $8, Umami Burger, 2184 Union St (at Fillmore), 415-440-8626, and other locations

Breakfast in Bed, Delivered: Sprig will get you Nutella crepes, savory crepes and/or duck confit hash.
Real Dinner, Delivered: Forage will get you (the prepped ingredients for) a three-course dinner from Alta CA and Bar Tartine. Steak and malted cookies will happen.

Here Goes. Mardi Gras at Town Hall.
THE GRAS IS ALWAYS GREENER

Here Goes. Mardi Gras at Town Hall.

Town Hall’s pretty infamous Mardi Gras party is known for the raw bar spread and unlimited buttermilk fried chicken and what some might call a revelrous atmosphere, if revelrous were a more widely used word. And this year there’s a crawfish station. So they’re not resting on their fried-chicken laurels.

Feb 17, 6pm, $80 ($95 at door), Mardi Gras at Town Hall, 342 Howard St (at Fremont), 415-908-3900
